Why getting clear + done?

Even villains do good deeds, if only unknowingly… So think about what good souls can do knowingly!

After 17 years getting a living, and a life, and an education coaching, consulting for, and leading organizations through transitions, transformations, new product launches and large sales, I finally dare to share all the notes I captured along these years. So here I am, sharing a little of what the best of you already know in their own area of expertise, be it business, martial arts, magic performance, teaching, etc. hoping to help you learn the easy way what I learned the hard way. Learning what?
Getting clear + done.
Because it matters. It gets deals closed. It gets products delivered. It gets organizations transformed. It gets people to shine. When you’re clear + done, you are happy. And it is sustainable.
And because a lot of people, teams and organizations are really not so great at that. Yet, examples of success abound. And everything you need to succeed too is right here, at hand.
People are often confused because they don’t understand what is asked of them, or don’t know what their contribution should be, let alone what it actually is. People are also often falling short of getting done because they focus on the wrong target, or lack discipline or take the tasks at hand the wrong way. At times, they are just trying too hard. Other times, they miss the point.
Teams are not the best place to get clear either, whether you are utterly confused or crystal clear yourself. Opinions stated as facts, petty office politics and power games, defensive attitudes to hide individual weaknesses all conspire to make teams a place where the confused gets more confused. And teams (of evil) can also be the last place where things will get done. Just add conflicting agenda and changing priorities in the mix, and you will see how fast you can miss your objective, if you have one, that is.
Organizations only amplify this sense of confusion. Smaller ones are often unclear because they do not have enough experience, perspective or quality data at their disposal. Larger ones are often unclear because they have too much experience of what can go wrong, too many conflicting perspectives and too much data to sort out information from noise. Smaller organizations often fail to get done because they get stuck in minute problems that will not make a difference, or they simply lack hands. Larger organizations often fail to get done because their efforts are not aligned, or they simply have too many cooks trying to handle the kitchen.
Organizations fail to understand one another, too. They get caught into their own way of seeing things. They cannot comprehend, let alone appreciate, another perspective. And failing to understand one another, they struggle when they interact, and bring friction where there could be synergy. Results are delays, disagreements and tensions, instead of products, sales, and new realities.
So this is what I am focusing on: helping people, teams and organizations getting clear + done; clear about the challenges and opportunities they face, clear about the decisions they have to make and the work they have to do… and done; done with their strategy, done with their plan, done with their product design, done with their sales, done with their promises.
That may seem like a tall order, but I am not alone here, and honestly, it does not take that much to get clear +  done: the right inspiration, the right focus, the right disciplines, the right enablers, and you, your team and your organization will be clear + done in no time. 🙂
Many great people have paved the way. And quite a few are making this a reality everyday. I was lucky enough that I already interviewed many, and these interviews will percolate through these pages, sharing important disciplines and activities. Many fun tools and enablers are readily available, only organizations do not know about them, or do not know how to use them and when. We will learn about them and play with them together, and see how easy and powerful they can be. Inspiration is all around. You just need a place to find it without meandering.
Clear? Well, done, for now.
